When it comes to selecting the perfect photocopier for your business, school or home there are many important factors to consider.

At Unique Copiers we’re more than happy to talk you through the ins and outs of the specifications. If you come to us with a list of requirements then we’ll find you the machine which matches them most closely.

So what should you be thinking about when you’re browsing through our selection of photocopiers online? Here are five key areas to look at.

Print speed

A big factor, of course, is going to be how quickly your copier can print. As technology gets better and better, it’s possible to print even more pages per minute. Small to medium businesses are probably going to be looking at a range of between 25 and 45 pages, so it’s worth keeping that in mind as you browse.

Print volume

If you’re printing or copying a large volume of work, you don’t want to be up and down out of your seat every few minutes. There’s a big variation in terms of how many sheets each copier can hold in the trays and cassette, which means it’s another consideration to bear in mind before you buy.

Image quality

This is going to depend on the resolution – if you want to create breathtaking images then you’ll need a resolution of between 600 x 600 and 1,200 x 1,200. Colour exposure is also a key consideration if the clarity of the images is imperative..

If you’re working in a busy environment it can be a great idea to have features like user authentication, secure printing and access restrictions installed on your copier.

There are plenty of other functions some copiers have which you may find useful. These include: wireless connectivity, touch-screen controls, built-in hard drives for document storage, noise reduction (some of the newer models are virtually silent), booklet creation, image repeat and many more.

If you’re not a photocopier expert then don’t worry about all of these options, because we are experts and we can guide you through the selection process. For more information, why not give us a call on 0845 108 9050 or email
