We have long been associated with Shrewsbury Town Football Club – and I think right now might be our proudest moment yet in this long running business partnership.
Tonight Shrewsbury Town Football Club travel to the London Stadium (where the Olympics were held) to take on West Ham United in an FA Cup 3rd round replay.
This replay is happening because Shrewsbury did a magnificent job of holding the Hammers to a 0-0 draw when they came to the Montgomery Waters Meadow on January 7.
That game – a bloody affair! – was beamed into the homes of millions across the UK as it went out live on BBC One Match of The Day.
And did you spot our advertising?
As part of our partnership we sponsor the ground and on that day we invested in extra sponsorship in order to make sure as many people as possible saw the Unique Copiers brand on the digital banners around the edge of the pitch.
We were there and were delighted to see our name literally in lights. And better still, my son William managed to get a photograph with Shrewsbury Town Legend – and now West Ham and England goalkeeper – Joe Hart.
We’ve not got the same advertising at tonight’s game in London but we will be throwing the same support behind the boys and cheering them on.
An FA Cup upset on this scale would be brilliant for Shrewsbury Town FC as they play for the right to play either Bournmouth or Wigan in the next round.
They’ll certainly be needing to print and photocopy a lot more paper the more they progress and we’ve got that covered.
As part of our agreement we help maintain and supply all their copying needs.
As I say, we’ve worked together for a long time though – you may have seen the story about how Unique Copiers provided machines for the new training facility at Sundorne Castle training complex.
This is the latest chapter in our businesses partnership and I can’t wait to read on.
Salop! Salop! Salop!
